Qld Legislation as set out in the Fire and Emergency Service (Domestic Smoke alarms) Legislation Amendment Act 2016 and the Building and Fire Safety (Domestic Smoke Alarms) Legislation Amendment Regulation 2016 requires Queensland landlords to take greater responsibility and ensure they provide a high level of safety in rental properties.
Smoke alarms must be tested and cleaned within 30 days prior to the start of a New Lease or Lease Renewal tenancy
